CCN Day yesterday kinda sucked for me. =( I came to school an hour late, so I didn't get to wash any cars at all. All the cars were already washed by the time I reached school, and there were no more cars to wash. *sigh*

So I went to the Mac Lab and slacked with Cat, May Ann and Andrea for awhile, but May Ann and Andrea had to rush their MultiCam proposal, so basically it was just me and Cat slacking. Lol...

Went over to help at the SU booth, but don't think I helped much, basically also sit there and slack too. Lol...

But I lost my water bottle!! So sad right? In case you don't know about my special (and probably legendary) bottle, it's a dark blue squeezy Nike bottle that has algae growing in it (Ok, laugh! But you'll have to admit that you drank from my bottle at least once!) and it's been a long-standing joke with my friends that I grow guppies in it, and am intending to buy goldfish to add to my collection when I have the finances.

So whoever found (or stole) my bottle, please take care of the guppies in it! And if you could fulfil my dream of getting goldfish to accompany them, I would really appreciate it. And please make sure that there is always algae for the guppies to feed on. Do guppies feed on algae?

Poor Jin, no more Nike 凉凉喷水池 for you anymore. *sigh* To my beloved bottle which has accompanied me through thick and thin, I will miss you...

But now it's time for a new bottle! Also blue, but this time metallic, and longer too. *sigh* My bag's gonna be very heavy now. Let's hope that I won't grow algae in it anymore. But I'm so afraid that the metal will oxidise or something after time. I'm so paranoid. Lol...

Had quite a fun time with Kazumi and Shuyi walking around the different schools. Was later joined by May Ann after she'd finished her proposal. Then later talked to Linggie back at the booth. I really enjoy talking to Linggie, I feel so intelligent, 'cos we talk about intelligent stuff. Wahahaha... See that, Linggie? We are intelligent stupongs! =D

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Dome has some sort of agreement with this matchmaking agency right now, and their blind dates are actually held in Dome. It's so exciting to see who they are and have fun guessing which woman walking in/by is the guy's date. It's especially fun when you have nothing to do (like me).

But I realised that some guys are really ungentlemanly. Makes me feel that it's no wonder they couldn't get a girlfriend and have to resort to this. Take yesterday for instance. This nerdish man came in (late! The reservation was for 7pm, but he came at 7.30pm! Lucky his date wasn't there either.) and sat down. After waiting for 5min and there's still no sign of his date, he gets an I.S to read.

Soon, his date comes in. She's quite nicely dressed, in a business suit with makeup and all. And she has a nice personality too, very bubbly and friendly, talks alot, although looks abit chao lao (maybe early 30s?). I like serving customers like her, because they're just so nice to you, you will feel bad if you're mean to them.

So she sits down opposite him and starts chatting with him. And all this time, her date has his I.S still open on the table while she talks to him! Omg, that's like a serious mistake to make on your first date man! It's rude, and it shows that you're not that interested in talking to her either. Haiz, so bad manners, right? Felt like going over and whisking his I.S away, but I'd probably get a complaint. Lol...

Throughout their dinner, the lady's making most of the conversation. The guy doesn't talk much, and seriously, they're a rather mismatched couple. One's so nerdy and one's passably stylish. One doesn't talk much and one talks alot. I think the poor woman was having a hard time.

Soon, it was time for the bill. I didn't bring the bill over to them, it was Kelly. Now usually, we key their bills separately, 'cos we never know whether the guy will (and he should!) offer to pay for the bill, so it's safer to go dutch and spare them the embarrassment. Now this guy, he sits there "摸-ing 半天 for his wallet" (Kelly's words) and in the end, the lady settled their bill.

So ungentlemanly right???! I was so outraged can! I was practically spluttering with rage. Chivalry is dead man. The lady sighed once she was out the door (they went separate ways).

But there are some nicely matched couples. Like this one time this pretty girl came in and I couldn't believe she was here for the blind date. Then her date came in and I was struck by how perfect they seemed for each other. 俊男配美女! Hahaha... Almost wanted to tell them that, but imagine how embarrassing it would be if one of them doesn't like the other. Hahaha...

And sometimes, like today, the girl's really pretty (actually, all the girls I've seen aren't ugly at all) but their dates are not very good-looking. I feel very sad for them, but I saw the girl having lots of fun with her date. Erm, not that kind of fun. Like laughing and joking. They just seemed like they had tons to talk about. And I was quite surprised, 'cos I thought the girl wouldn't like him.

Finally I get to what happened today. Lol... Cat and I went to May Ann's church to take part in this Amazing Race-like event. We were late actually. We were supposed to be there by 9, but we met at 9 and ended up reaching there at 9.45am. May Ann's dad fetched us there. And it's quite funny actually, 'cos no matter how late we are, they can't set off without us, 'cos May Ann's dad's the pastor, and he's the one who has to flag us off. Hahaha...

The other peeps in our group were Kai Ling, Nigel and Calvin. Kai Ling's a really nice girl, Nigel's kinda quiet, but he's funny too, and Calvin talks alot, keeps our group hyped up.

At Esplanade. We were wondering how to get to China Square from there.

Candid shot of Cat. She didn't want me to take her. Hahaha...

I think our group was the best group! Lol... I'm serious! Even though we didn't win in the end (not even top 3), but I really had loads of fun with my group.

Our team spirit and unity was really incomparable man. You should've seen how we breezed through Charades. Even the stationmasters were impressed. Then later there was another station where we had to test our team's 默契, and we were really on the ball too! Hahaha... And everytime (which was only twice actually) the stationmasters wanted us to do something special for them, we would do our human pyramid. I'm not kidding. It's a real human pyramid consisting of the 6 of us.

Then there was one station in Prince George Residence in NUS and that episode was quite funny. We just missed our shuttle bus when we got down at NUS and the next one came 20min later. Calvin suggested hitching a ride and before we knew it, Cat went up to the road and stuck her thumb out at every lorry and car.

I decided to go and help her, so I stood beside her and did this begging gesture at every vehicle that passed us by. Finally, this lady stopped her car beside us and agreed to take us to our next station. Imagine 6 of us, sweaty and stinking up her car and she's still so nice to drive us there. We couldn't believe our luck.

And then, we got even luckier after we finished that station. We decided to try hitching a ride again, and this time, an old man who could only speak Chinese stopped for us. He took us out to the main road. Yay, praise the Lord for sending us such wonderful people!

The whole thing was damn fun lah, even though we practically ran everywhere and had to go to places all over Singapore, and probably spent loads on transport. I love my group lah. Really enjoyed myself even though I was like a zombie at work later. =D
