Happy CNY!

I realised something: You'll only get the most angpows on the first day. I only got one (ok, technically 2, but the 2nd one didn't count 'cos I received it in cash and not in the red packet itself) on the second day.

I spent the 2nd day quite happily. It's a day for gambling, the 2nd day. You'll never believe the amount of gambling my relatives get up to everytime CNY comes around. I was at my uncle's house for dinner, and my cousin, my brother and I were playing Daidee. Then my other cousin and his relatives played 大小 while we were playing Daidee.

I'm not kidding, they really had the whole piece of paper printed out, with the '大' in one corner, and the '小' in the other corner, plus all the itty bitty details in between. They even had the professional looking thingy to shake the dice in that looks like a bowler hat. Seemed quite easy to win money though, you just bet on the big or the small.

Wish we played for money though, in Daidee. I kept winning, thanks to my silly brother. Hahaha... Later went to my 1st uncle's house (on my mom's side) and the annual blackjack tournament was in full swing!

Let me tell you something about my cousin, William. He's 30+ and he looks and sounds exactly like Ah Tan. Hahaha... I'm serious lah. And now Ah Tan's going to roll his eyes and say 'I look and sound like everyone lah.' But that's quite true. =P

Anyway, William was the banker as usual, and I think he lost quite alot of money, 'cos by the end of the game, everyone was betting big. One of my cousins even started betting $10 per round. My winnings weren't too bad, walked away with $9. =)

May be going over to my godparents' house for some mahjong. Wish me luck! =D
