No, I'm not dead yet.

It's just that life has become so mundane and boring that I have nothing of interest to talk about on my blog.

Ok, actually I do. But I'm just too lazy to blog, ok? Haha...

Just to put you at ease, here's a long-awaited entry to update you on what has been going on so far in my boring life.

I've taken to watching Korean and Taiwanese dramas everytime I'm at home. I've just finished watching 'Goong' (in which I've found the new love of my life! =P) and I'm starting on 'Full House' now.

Ok, I know you're going to say I'm slow. "Like how long ago was Full House shown on TV lah?" But I never watch TV for a very long time ok, so I don't know what shows they're showing on TV!

And I've just recently borrowed 3 more shows (新娘18岁, 恶作剧之吻, and 爱情合约) and they're just screaming at me to watch them too.

Life during SIP

AC Nielsen is ok. The full-timers there are Ms. Lee (my supervisor), Kathleen, Serene, Poh Gek, Wun and Adele.

Kathleen is this (I think) 27-year-old whose voice is damn act cute. In fact, she's damn act cute, full stop. Doesn't match her dressing too. And she likes to 撒娇 to the other people too.

She looks and behaves like another Edith. She loves the sound of her own voice, which is exceptionally annoying, because of the sharpness of her 'S'-es. She speaks in a different accent when making serious talk, a very fake one. Don't you just hate it when people put on fake accents, especially when they’re speaking to 'Ehng Moes'?

But she's fine lah.

Serene can speak Jap very well. One time she answered her phone and started nattering on in Jap that made my jaw drop.

Poh Gek is really tan, and her build is really nice too. I heard she's a jogger, takes part in marathons and stuff.

Wun is from Hong Kong, and she really does have that funny accent! Hahaha... But hers isn't as pronounced as how Kai always does it.

I don't sit near Adele, so I don't know how she's like. But so far, she's really nice, sometimes quite funny too.

Ms. Lee is hilarious man! She took us out for lunch once, sort of a farewell meal for Yipling, another intern. And the stories she told us about her adventure on a public transport! Made us laugh until our stomachs ached.

I made friends with the 2 other interns from NTU, Minda and Yipling.

Minda's an Indonesian-Chinese, and she's nice to talk to. I like talking to her! One time, we spent our whole time before lunch telling each other ghost stories, 'cos it got too boring rearranging the questionnaires.

Now, Yipling.

She's a funny character, she really is. When I talk to her, I don't know whether I wanna laugh or cry. She's a teacher-ish character, who is really nice. She's nice, I really think she's nice! Why do I keep saying that? Because, I may say some stuff later that may seem mean, but I really do like her. It's just.. No, I can't keep it in my heart any longer, I will burst. Wahaha...

You see, she has a favourite word. What's the word, you ask?

It is: ORH.

Yes, that's it. Seems normal, even common. Right? WRONG. Very wrong!

I swear, it's starting to drive me nuts. She always responds to everything you say with an "Orhhhh..."

For example:

"The weather’s real-"

"Orhhh..."

"-ly nice today."

-_-

You know how it's instinct to stop talking when someone interrupts you? Well, Yipling's dreaded response will come in 3/4 through your sentence, making you wonder whether you should stop talking for her to finish her dragged-out "orh", and make the atmosphere damn weird 'cos you didn’t finish what you had to say. Or whether you should be rude and just carry on talking anyway.

For me, I got used to her and just carried on, 'cos I figured out it’s just her way of showing she's listening to you.

But sometimes, her '"orh's" really appear at the wrong time! Like yesterday, when we came back late from lunch, and Kathleen sorta admonished her about it. Yipling immediately responded with an "orhhh..." which made Kat kinda 哭笑不得. She kept laughing while saying, "That’s not the correct response! What are you supposed to say?"

It's really maddening, this habit of Yipling's, but what makes it even more maddening is that the "orh's" make you wanna carry on talking even more, 'cos you’d feel encouraged if someone was responsive to what you were saying, right?

And the worse thing is, she's genuinely interested when she's saying it, but you just can't help feeling like she's being sarcastic when she suddenly cuts in with an "Orhhh..." while you're talking. Initially, I'd immediately snap my head to look at her, thinking she was being sarcastic, and she had this genial smile on her face!

With people like this, I think you'll probably go mad after hanging out with them too long, 'cos you'd be so confused from all the mixed signals. Hahaha... One day, I wanna say to her:

"HAN ZI LAH, ORH!"

I have to say that soon though, 'cos her last day is on Friday. Haha...

I've been having lunch with Yipling and Minda ever since my first day of work, and they intro-ed me to their friends too.

There's Huiyi, who works upstairs on the 15th floor (there are 2 floors to AC Nielsen! One is the 15th, where it occupies the entire floor, and the other is the 13th, where it occupies half. I work there).

Then there's Jieying and Beverly, who work at Tan Tock Seng Hospital Corp Comm Department, nearby. I found a mate in Jieying, who's just as crazy over the dramas as I am. She's the one who lent me all the shows! =)

Anyway, on to the new loves of my life. Hehe...

No. 1 is Kim Jung Hoon. He needs no further explanation.

He is followed by a tie between He Junxiang and Yunho from DBSK.

Junsu is the 3rd. He's from DBSK too. =P

Niaos were out in full force yesterday. We had dinner in Pepper Lunch. Yummy! Too bad no one brought a camera.

I love them!
